The stars turned out Tuesday night for a celebrity-studded telethon to help Hurricanes Harvey and Irma victims, but it didn’t take long for the event to deteriorate into a liberal rallying cry.
Stevie Wonder opened the event by saying anyone unsure about “climate change” was either “blind or unintelligent.”
According to Hannity.com:
The event became political within minutes, with iconic singer Steve Wonder opening the event by saying, “When love goes into action, it preferences no color of skin, no ethnicity, no religious beliefs, no sexual preferences, and no political persuasions.”
“We should begin to love and value our planet, and ANYONE who believes that there’s no such thing as global warming must be blind or unintelligent; Lord please save us all,” he added.
Beyoncé also couldn’t help herself, saying it was “impossible to watch the news” without seeing instances of racism throughout the country, adding “climate change” is playing out throughout the globe.
“During a time where it’s impossible to watch the news without seeing violence or racism in this country, just when you think it couldn’t possibly get worse, natural disasters take precious life, do massive damage, and forever change lives,” said the singer. “The effects of climate change are playing out around the world every day.”
The Hand in Hand telethon was intended to raise money for storm victims throughout the southeast United States, many of whom were unable to watch the event because they are still without power or seeking refuge in evacuation centers.”
